# One request. Every part stays with it.

Your customer chooses several parts, reviews the quantities and sends one request. Your sales team receives the same item list with delivery details, ready to review and quote.

Illustrative multi-item request

## The pack count travels into the sales brief.

Start with the requested items already organized. Sales can ask about the remaining uncertainty instead of asking the customer to repeat every part number, quantity and delivery detail.

What your customer fills in

### Choose the parts. Review the list.

A request list retains each selected part and variant. The buyer enters quantities in the actual selling unit, then adds the shipping address, ZIP code and required date. Show the review step before submission so they can correct a pack count or remove an item without rebuilding the request.

**Line 1**: HS-W08-Z · Zinc finish · 3 packs

**Line 2**: HS-W08-S · Stainless finish · 3 packs

**Selling units shown**: Zinc: 100 pieces/pack · Stainless: 50 pieces/pack

**Shipping**: USA · Chicago, IL 60601 · full address supplied

**Delivery need**: Requested date supplied · loading-dock delivery

**Contact**: Purchasing contact and reply email

What your team receives

### A brief ready for line-by-line review.

A line-by-line brief with the reference, variant, quantity and unit the buyer saw, followed by contact and delivery information. Where approved data defines pieces per pack, include that total too. Keep an unknown specification or missing detail visible rather than replacing it with a guess.

**Requested lines**: HS-W08-Z: 3 packs / 300 pieces; HS-W08-S: 3 packs / 150 pieces

**Delivery brief**: Shipping address, ZIP code, requested date and access notes

**Contact**: Purchasing contact and original request

**Next action**: Check both variants and delivery, then prepare the quote

Work with us

## What we would build.

A quote for your scope.

For a focused form build or improvement to an existing website. We review your site and agree the work before quoting.

50% at start, 50% on completion.

[How we work](https://1968labs.com/method)

- Map approved part references, variants and selling units into a request list.
- Build add, edit, remove and review steps that keep multiple lines together.
- Collect contact, shipping and timing details; validate quantities and required fields.
- Test the agreed delivery route, error recovery, mobile use and keyboard controls.

An RFQ does not place an order. Your team confirms specifications, availability, final price and delivery; the form does not make engineering or substitution decisions.

## Plan the right starting point.

### Improve an existing catalog

A focused form engagement is quoted in writing after we review your site, approved product data and receiving inbox. A complete catalog website is a separate website service; its package price is not the price of this form.

### Agree additional connections

Live stock, customer prices, account access and ERP or CRM connections need separate scope. Drawing uploads also need agreed storage, permissions and retention. We first check whether your existing platform already supports the request journey.

## Before you decide.

**How is this different from a generic quote form?**

It preserves multiple selected items as distinct lines, each with its own reference, variant, quantity and unit. A single message box leaves the buyer to reconstruct those details.

**Can customers ask about a part they cannot identify?**

Yes. An agreed identification question can collect the known reference and application notes, with unknown answers allowed. Keep it separate from approved catalog selections so sales can see which lines need clarification.

**What should we send you to start?**

Send the catalog URL, a small approved product sample with selling units, an example of the request your sales team needs, and the system that receives it. Use redacted customer examples; we can then agree the fields and handoff.
